Mildred D. Muhammad broadens her memoir with this, her first overseas speaking engagement

Washington, District of Columbia – Mildred D. Muhammad is recognized as an influential global voice, educator and two-time author on the topic of violence against women, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and suicide. Mildred will travel to The United States Army Yongsan Military Installation in Yongsan, Korea to deliver the Keynote Address for the Inaugural Purple Gala. The Gala on October 6, 2017 is hosted by the Army’s Family Advocacy Program. Mildred will drive a much-needed discussion about domestic violence. This event is open to all ID card holders. This speaking engagement marks Mildred Muhammad’s first overseas speaking engagement on a military base.

The United States Army says “She [Mildred Muhammad] has been recognized throughout military communities for championship of the Family Advocacy Program and their mission to educate, promote and end Domestic Violence in Military Communities.”

Mildred Muhammad is the ex-spouse of John Allen Muhammad, the D.C. sniper. Since 2012, Mildred has advanced domestic violence awareness conversations and education at military installations across America. On October 11, 2017, she travels to the Marine Corps Logistics Base in Barstow, California to speak at The Domestic Violence Prevention Program for Marines and Families. And on October 17th & 18th, she’ll arrive at Ft Stewart, GA to speak and facilitate training to military personnel and the community regarding Domestic Violence Awareness and Prevention.
